 Peacock worm Sabella penicillus

The protective tube is created from mud particles glued together with mucus secreted by the worm. The circular fan of feeding tentacles will retract rapidly into the supporting tube if disturbed by touch, water movement or on occasion even the passage of a shadow.

Strawberry worm

If you see an array of long filamentous strands coming out of a crevice in the rocks the chances are these may be from a strawberry worm.
